ATKINS, Charles Angus - 56, Canso, Guysborough Co., died Sunday, July, 20, 2008, in Auld's Cove. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of Genesta Helena (Gammon) Atkins, Cook's Cove, Guysborough Co., and the late Douglas Atkins. Charles worked as a refrigeration engineer at the Canso Fish Plant for over 25 years. At the time of his death he was employed by North Atlantic Seafoods Corporation Ltd., Auld's Cove. He is survived by his wife, Donna, Canso; daughters, Mona (Allen Morris), Rowena, both of Halifax; Linda (Lawrence) Ash, Guysborough; brother, Billy (Bonnie), Moncton, N.B.; grandchildren, Taylor and Kali Ash, Charles Atkins; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister in infancy. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in All Saints Anglican Church, Canso, with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
