Joseph Gabriel KEEFE

KEEFE, Joseph Gabriel - 76, Little Dover, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Haines) Keefe. He was retired from the Canso fish plant. He was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover and a former member of the Canso Lions Club. Gabriel is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Evie (Bouchie); daughters, Corine (Barry) Avery, Lower Sackville; Annette (Greg) Mitchelitis, Middle Sackville; Sons, Kenny (late Audrey) Murray River, P.E.; Robin, Kentville; Darrel (Norma), Little Dover; 12 grandchildren; 5 greatgrandchildren; sisters, Marion (Gerard) Myatt and Paula Keefe, both of Little Dover; brothers, Clarence (Theresa) and Jerome (Ruth), both of Little Dover; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter Bonny; daughter-in-law Audrey; brother John; sisters Fran and two in infancy. Funeral mass was held 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover, Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
