ALEX GROVER

Alex Grover, 78, of Pictou,
died Sunday in the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital.

Born in Charlos Cove, Guysborough Co.,
he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Grover.

Mr. Grover was a member of Stella Maris Church
and served in the merchant marine during the second World War.
He was employed for 31 years with Maritime Packers.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean(Mrs. Doug Rudolph), Pictou;
Lorraine(Mrs. Howard Pelerine), New Glasgow ;
two step-daughters, Alice(Mrs. John Rice), Pictou;
Donalda(Mrs. Neil Millet), Halifax; four step-sons,
Edward and Paul Cyr, Pictou; Qucid and William Cyr, Montreal;
several grandchildren and great grandchildren;
a brother Dan, Canso; two sisters, Minnie, Charlos Cove; and Edith, Halifax.
He was predeceased by his wife Annie,
three brothers and a step-son Leo Cyr.

Funeral service was held from Stella Maris Church,
Wednesday at 10 a.m., Rev. Hugh MacDonald officiating.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.
