Jacob Kaiser

PORT BECKERTON, April 14--
The death of Jacob Kaiser occurred at his home, Port Beckerton, April 5, at the age of 73 years.
He had lived all his life in this vicinity, and was one of the most prominent boat builders in the province.
He was a member and leader in the Gospel Assembly Hall.
He is survived by his widow, formerly Jane Avery, of Larry's River;
Four daughters, Pauline (Mrs. George Hiltz) Port Beckerton;
Jennie (Mrs. Colin McDonald), Viola (Mrs. Duncan Myers), both of Sydney, and
Lena (Mrs. Vernon Corkum) Toronto, Ont;
six sons, Melvin, Marshall, Roland and Stillman, Sydney;
Lester, Isaac's Harbour, and
Frank at home, who lived with his father. Della (Mrs. Thedore Harpell) Harpellville, N.S.,
Nancy (Mrs. John Taylor) and Amanda (Mrs. Garfield Horton) Port Beckerton,
and four brothers, Stillman, Alex, Percy and Whitman, all of Port Beckerton.
There are also several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The funeral service was held from the Gospel Assembly Hall, and was largely attended.
Mr. Robert McCracken officiated, assisted by Mr. George Elliot.
Pallbearers were Alex, Stillman and Percy Kaiser and Wilfred Hiltz.
Whitman Kaiser was floral bearer.
Interment was in Port Beckerton cemetery.
